Wednesday's Wine Pick~

Okay.....let's talk white people! It is warm outside and many of us have done some serious pool, lake, or for the very fortunate - ocean time, this summer! With the hot summer days, must come a fantastic white wine of course.

Since my rule of thumb is about $15....this week I am going to recommend a wine that was recently recommended to me and I found it for $7.99 at Total Wine. It is Dry Creek Vineyard - Wilson Ranch Dry Chenin Blanc. This medium bodied white wine is crisp, clean and smooth and not too sweet at all. It almost started off with a citrus flavor and ended very smooth. It has many complex layers that would pair well with most anything or nothing at all.

I think this healthy (of course) and fun recipe below was an amazing pairing! Let me know your thoughts!

Summer Chicken Salad --
Here are the ingredients, and you can use the amount of each to your liking:

Fresh Kale
Fresh Romaine Lettuce
Red Grapes
Slivered Almonds
Grape tomatoes
Feta Cheese
Red Onion

ADD: Grilled Chicken - seasoned   with Olive Oil, pepper, dash of salt

We used Newman's Own Balsamic dressing and the Raspberry Vinaigrette to top it off!
